Project Duration:  3 months

 

Experience Level:  Senior level… not looking for a developer or an architect.  Senior level DBA

 

Responsibilities experiences /skills will include:

Ø      DB2 in a partitioned environment

Ø      Experience in a > 10 TB Data warehouse

Ø      Experience in a 20 + hash partitions environment

Ø      BCU concept

Ø      Backups and restores

Ø      Federation links

Ø      XML and MQ

Ø      Excellent understanding of Coordinating DDL implementations of multiple development teams

Ø      Reviewing DDL to identify naming and data type inconsistencies

Ø      Managing development database refreshes

Ø      Identifying project capacity implications of new changes

Ø      Reviewing data migration plans

Ø      Coordinating DDL implementations of multiple development teams

Ø      Reviewing DDL to identify naming and data type inconsistencies

Ø      Managing development database refreshes

Ø      Identifying project capacity implications of new changes

Ø      Reviewing data migration plans

Ø      Identifying and tuning poor queries

Ø      Investigation of DB2 bugs

Ø      Providing general guidance on development best practices to the development team

Ø      Creating system documentation for the production support team

Ø      Supporting production implementation of new releases and bug fixes
