SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER CONSULTANT _ MENLO PARK, CA (Must be local to CA)
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Duration: 12 months

 

1. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Functional design and development of RIA (internet rich applications), perform unit testing, enhance application performance, and provide troubleshooting support using AJAX, XSL, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML and XHTML for all major browsers.
Manage versioning of web assets such as graphics, (X)HTML templates, JavaScript, and style sheets in the repository; knowledge of source control systems (CVS or SVN) expected
Ensure that the code meets the required development standards and is optimized for faster download
2. PROJECT / TEAM MANAGEMENT

 

Establish & maintain development environment
Provide status reporting of all tasks on a weekly basis to immediate managers
Provide representation of Web Development policies and practices on all assigned projects
Additional:

 

Continually enhance knowledge and expertise, by staying current with existing and new technologies
Technical Skills:

 

Minimum 3 years of professional hands on web experience with a demonstrated sense of composition and page layout
Excellent knowledge of (X)HTML and JavaScript
AJAX, XSLT, and DHTML proficiency
Experience with JavaScript frameworks and remote scripting fundamentals preferred (Extensive jQuery experience in particular is required)
Solid practical knowledge of CSS
Strong understanding of OOP principals
Knowledge of DOM and DOM functions
An understanding of electronic image formats
Highly motivated, detail oriented and extremely organized with proven ability to establish priorities and execute to achieve results
Ability to work under tight deadlines, independently and proactively, quickly and efficiently respond to change
Strong verbal and written communication skills
