Detailed Info: Support production environment comprised of close to 100 Applications roughly broken into Client facing reporting Apps and Finance Apps.
Provide effective production Level 2 support coverage, be extremely hands on in the areas of SQL, Java and Web technologies and clear communicator.
Convey root cause analysis of issues to software development staff for process/software changes. Perform in-depth research and identify sources of production issues.
Run books for target systems in place, documenting procedural information to enable non-dedicated personnel to initiate & conduct trouble shooting, perform standard procedures and manage the run-time environment on an ongoing basis.
Develop and utilize core support tools and processes to perform workwhile improving day-to-day practices for support team
+ Conduct and verify Ready For Business (RFB) checks Monitor Operating
+ Level Agreements (OLAs) for all applications, batches and feeds, including performance levels, availability and critical windows of operation.
Development/Computing Environment: Database Platforms : Informix, SQL Server, UDB , Programming Languages: ASP.NET, Java, , Unix Shell Scripting
Experience working with a Financial Services firm (preferred)
B.A. / B.S. (preferred)
OS: Linux/Windows, with exposure to shell scripting (preferred)
Database: SQL skills in a UDB/SQLServer environment (preferred)
Language: Java or .Net a plus
Skills Required for the position:SQL, Application Support, UNIX, WINDOWS;AUTOSYS, UDB are optional.
