Hello - 2 new
-------------
Our group, Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity is in need of changing
ownership. Our leader has passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident and is
no longer with us. He was the only designated leader for the google group and
we are now unable to switch roles to allow for management of the group. Please

how modify a nickname of a user - 2 new
---------------------------------------
The only chance you have is when you add or invite a member who doesn't
already have a Google account. The nickname is taken from the email address's
Display name field (RFC-822 syntax): Joe Luser <mailbox@@domain> where, of
course, I've doubled the at-sign to prevent email address cloaking. - Tues,

After a few weeks we're still waiting on adding subscribers. We're a non-
profit foster care and accredited k-12 institution, and all of these people
gave us their email addresses because they were interested in our research and
training. Is there any method to contact Google Premier team about this? -

No owner for group BLGPC - 2 new
--------------------------------
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible for the previous owner to delete herself
from our GoogleGroup, leaving no-one as Owner. This is for Brisbane Lesbian
and Gay Pride Choir. Our previous owner (L**y) set up the group, but has since
left Brisbane for Sydney, hence she unsubscribed herself. - Tues, Sep 8 2009 8:

Banning option not working - 2 new
----------------------------------
I needed to ban a member who was also an owner/manager immediately to prevent
them from then sending an unwanted email to the group. I went into management
tasks and changed their membership to "Unsubscribe" but it did not work and
she was able to send the email out to the group (which has over a 1,000
members and is a business association). - Tues, Sep 8 2009 10:55 am

Hello, I was subscribed to the group afs-units as both fara...@farashaeuker.
com and feu...@fisheries.org. I deleted the former account without promoting
my other email address from manager to owner. There are now two managers and
no owners. I need to promote fara...@farashaeuker.com to group owner. How can

un ban a member - 1 new
-----------------------
Hello, I just want to add in that I am also having the exact same problem with
2 of my google groups that I am managing. The system suddenly bans my members.
It is important to get this working again because I am using this for a
university class. Overall, I am happy with Google Groups, but this ban problem
is a major issue. - Tues, Sep 8 2009 3:14 pm

I am also seeing this in my group [link]It seems that Google Groups engineers
are ignoring this issue - how disappointing. It is very annoying as my group
member is getting 2 copies of each message. Could a Google Groups admin please
at least make a data-fix? That should not be asking too much. - Tues, Sep 8

importing email lists - 2 new

We currently have an active Yahoo group and am looking at migrating it to
Google. I am wondering if there is an import option to upload almost 500 email
addresses that have been approved to be on yahoo. I know there is an export
option, but there doesn't seem to be an import option. - Tues, Sep 8 2009 6:07

We've figured out that the picture can be about 800 x 600, but it's much
tinier when put on your homepage. Anything larger than that gets cropped

Hi, I created and was sole owner of the group: [link] but since I accepted an
invitation to join the group (I was trying to add an additional email to my
account) I have been relegated to member status with no access to membership
tasks/links. There are no group managers. - Tues, Sep 8 2009 8:21 pm
