... If that's indeed what happened, it's yet another bug. FWIW, Y! Groups does
not have these problems. Then again, for better or worse, it's a more mature
product, about ten years old (originally eGroups, a dot com startup company),
roughly at least double Gigi's lifetime. Coming later, Gigi has some features

Have you heard back from Google Help 'staff' on this? I need this question

Why does moderation disable spam filters? - 1 new
-------------------------------------------------
I believe that I have solved this problem by using two Google Groups to filter
out the spam in two stages: I invite the public to address messages to Group1,
which does not moderate messages from non-members, so Google's normal filters
remove most spam. I route all "valid" messages from Group1 to Group2, where I
moderate messages from non- - Tues, Sep 22 2009 9:33 am

the left, and some of the explanatory text is also hidden behind the drop- -

post a message to managers/owners only - 1 new

Hi, How can I send a message to managers and owners of a group, only? In my
case, I am a manager, and this would not be needed for general members,
although it might be an interesting addition for general members. Possibly a
backdoor like my-group+managers@googlegroups .com, perhaps? Thanks, Mark. -
