Java Developer with C++ Experience

 

NYC, NY

 

Long Term Contract

 

Technical skills:

Ø      Java, C or C++ programming in Unix environment.

Ø      Ability to work with java compilers, ability to make files and build servers, Integrated Development Environment.

Ø      Strong scripting skills (Unix shell, Perl)

 

Technical experience:

 

Ø      Source control system (PVCS VM is preferable), administrative skills are necessary, IBM Rational ClearQuest administrative knowledge

Ø      A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorhythms, and software design.

Ø      Extensive programming experience in C/C++ and/or Java, J2EE / Java EE5

Ø      Several years of large systems software design and development experience, with extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux, Unix Shell KSH, Perl Scripting, ANT

Ø      Coding skills in Python or Javascript/AJAX, database design and SQL.

Ø      Knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming are pluses.
