Our application will then take that data and perform all sorts of calculations and such on it and then provide reports, interactive charts and graphs, what-if scenarios, etc that will guide the user by showing them how their spend is categorized, what they are buying on/off contract, which contracts would save them the most money, their implemtation rate/adoption rate of the contracts they have signed up for, etc
Inversion of control, or IoC, is an abstract principle describing an aspect of some software architecture designs in which the flow of control of a system is inverted in comparison to procedural programming.
MVVM part of Silverlight MVVM is targeted at modern UI development platforms (Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Silverlight) where there's a developer specialized in user interface design and human-computer interaction, thus having different requirements than a more “traditional” developer (i.e. oriented toward business logic and back end development).
XAML is used extensively in .NET Framework 3.0 technologies, particularly Windows Presentation Foundation, Silverlight, and Windows Workflow Foundation (WF). In WPF, XAML is used as a user interface markup language to define UI elements, data binding, eventing, and other features. In WF, workflows can be defined using XAML.
