Lead Software Engineer

Location: NYC

Employment Type: temp to perm position.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
2. 6 - 8 years experience as a Java experience, including creation of including creation of Java Server Pages (JSPs), Servlets, Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs), and JMS.
3. 3-4 years of J2EE Design, Development, and Architectural Experience.
4. Demonstrable software modeling skills to represent technical requirements information including use of UML (use case, class diagrams, database schemas, sequence diagrams, etc.) constructs and entity relationship diagrams.
5. Demonstrable experience with implementing and adhering to software development process methodologies, in particular, RUP.
6. Experienced using and support Weblogic, Apache, and Oracle applications.
7. Experienced utilizing, setting-up, and administering application clusters.
8. Experienced writing SQL and using JDBC to connect to relational databases.
9. Demonstrable object-oriented design and development experience, specifically in the area of J2EE design patterns such as Model View Controller, Command pattern, Session Facade, Data Access Object pattern, etc.
10. Knowledge in Oracle database design and implementation.
11. Strong PL/SQL experience with advanced functions, procedures and triggers.
12. Experienced with Eclipse or similar application development environment.
13. Experienced with CVS or similar source code control environment.
14. Experienced with web services APIs and stateless SOAP calls for database services.
15. Experienced with rapid application development (RAD) methodology
16. Ability to work in fast-paced quick software release environment.
17. Possess excellent listening, writing and communications skills to effectively interact with Media Product Managers, MT Product Engineering, business units and other project stakeholders.
18. Strong interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.
19. Proficient with office product tools like MS Office.
