URGENT - Direct client REQ - SYBASE DBA with ORACLE exp - Houston, TX

MAX Rate $59/hr C2C All Inclusive

Key is Sybase and Oracle DBA exp.

Client: Oil and Gas (Will let you know the name of the client before submitting the resume)

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 6months

Provide Primary Sybase/Oracle and SQLServer database support for energy trading database systems. Support consists physical database design, creating and maintaining database objects and users, space management, database refreshes, database security, assisting development in writing and tuning SQL and stored procedures, application upgrades, data migration and archiving, use of SQL software, production support, development life cycle support, problem resolution.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong working knowledge of Sybase 12 and above and administration tasks.
- Prior experience with MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005 internals and administration tasks
- Prior experience with SQL Server on MS 2003
- Prior experience with Oracle 9.x and 10.x DBA tasks
- Prior experience with unix operating system
- Prior experience with linux operating system
- Strong communication skills written and verbal.
- Must be able to interact with multiple levels of personnel in the organization hierarchy
- Must be able to work in a highly dynamic energy trading environment.
- Must be highly motivated and work in a team environment
- Must be willing to be on call and or work overtime and/or weekends as necessary for systems support and maintenance
