CLIENT NEEDS Project Manager-1 IN MADISON WI NEW REQ

Title: Project Manager-1

Location: Madison, WI

Duration: 6+ Months

RATE 55HR C2C

 

                              WILL BE OPEN UNTIL 11-10-09 500PM CST

 

Description

Project management of critical applications in the Division of Employment and Training. Existing applications need on-going productivity improvements and older web and client-server apps needs reengineering and updating.
--Project duties will also include: •Lead project planning and allocation of resources while working closely with other PMs within the section •Develop project schedules •Lead and coordinate design and implementation efforts •Lead all phases of project life cycle •Establish and maintain good relationships with project stakeholders •Prepare status reports for management to highlight progress, identify obstacles, and recommend action in meeting project schedules
•Leadership of project staff •Oversee development and maintenance of system documentation •Guide testing phases •Ensure quality control •Analyze client information to identify the key requirements in clear, concise statements •Problem solving •Assign staff to project and specific project tasks •Prepare system development plans to ensure project staff and management have a clear understanding of project directions
--Hardware/Software Environment: •VB.NET •Object Oriented Design •Visual Studio.NET •MS Team Foundation Server •Oracle PL-SQL

 

 

 

Comment

Previous work experience in government or case management systems a plus. The successful candidate will be very technically competent, being able to code in .NET, have excellent project management skills, a consistently high producer, and very much a team player. All candidates submitted with inconsistencies or falsifications in their credentials will be disqualified and DOA will be notified. An in-person interview will be required as part of our review process. A criminal background check will be required.
