MATC’s Desktop Management Project
MATC is in the process of creating a functional and scalable desktop management solution for the college district. MATC has a consulting opportunity for a Microsoft Infrastructure Project Manager to lead implementation of a desktop management infrastructure leveraging Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 to manage and support systems in its Microsoft Active Directory domain. This individual must have thorough knowledge and experience with large Microsoft SMS or SCCM deployments. In addition to strong project management skills (PMP certification preferred), this assignment requires mastery of Microsoft SCCM 2007 concepts. It requires experience architecting, planning and implementing SMS and SCCM 2007 in an enterprise environment with multiple campuses. This individual must also have significant experience developing and implementing the operational processes required to successfully leverage the desktop management infrastructure. Knowledge of management tools and processes needed to effectively support an enterprise SMS and SCCM 2007 installation is required. This project will include assessment and implementation of application packaging and distribution solutions as well as necessary training to ensure operational support for the desktop management environment in place upon completion of the project.

Any offer of no charge or reduced price familiarization time should be in writing. Vendors may not substitute staff after acceptance without prior approval from MATC. The District pays no fees for travel expense or other reimbursement.
3. Responses must include evidence of high-level experiences in projects involving the following technologies: Microsoft SMS, SCCM 2007, and Microsoft’s Active Directory. There is a preference for staff residing within the MATC District.
