I'm in need of 10 PeopleSoft Technical Developers.

They will be working in our PeopleSoft Campus/Financial Aid Suite.

6+ years developing in a PeopleSoft, experience with SQR and SQL a must.

Any experience with COBOL level programming in PeopleSoft a plus.

 

 

1.This position designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs software for those applications in which a significant level of technical expertise is required.

2.Works with technical staff to understand and analyze complex software problems and develops specifications to resolve them.

3.May make suggestions or offer alternative resolutions for software problems or enhancements.

4.Participates in the development of software user manuals to support the ongoing use and application of the software.

5.May demonstrate software to others to introduce them to new or enhanced applications.

6.Provide direction and support and assists in the training of less experienced software development staff to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex software development.

7.May act as a team leader on less complex projects.

8.Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

 

May lead or manage a project. Provides direction and acts as a resource for less experienced developers.

 

A thorough knowledge and understanding of software development as typically obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology science or a related field.

Must have sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify incumbent to work at the highest technical level on all phases of software development.

Four -six years of software development or experience in a related field is preferred.

A significant understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the software development field is required.

Experience with the supervision or direction of other software development staff preferred.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above.

Must posses the ability to communicate well with others, to perform work in a team environment, direct and act as a resource for less experienced network administrators and relay necessary information as appropriate.
