Mainframe Systems Programmer

 

Duration: 9 Months

 

New York City, NY

 

Job description:-

 

Ø      Minimum of 8 years experience as a mainframe systems programmer along with several years experience as an IMS DBA.

Ø      Primary responsibility is migration of IMS databases to DB2 for z/OS.

Ø      Seeking a bright, creative, responsible, conscientious individual with strong communication skills.

Ø      Responsibilities include systems programming tasks for the mainframe databases and tools using SMP/E.

Ø      Installation and maintenance of mainframe database software (IMS and DB2) as well as all supporting tools.

Ø      Requires experience with DB2 Data Sharing, DB2 subsystem performance and tuning, and capacity planning.

 

Desired Skills:-

Ø      DB2 for LUW

Ø      BMC and IBM DB2 toolsets

Ø      DB2 database administration

Ø      DB2 SQL performance analysis and tuning
