Hello, I understand the non-Gmail address is another of your mail address that
Google found out somewhere! I'd suggest you to check in [link]if it is maybe
an alternate mail address. Obviously, if you can Sign in with the other (Gmail?

Thank you for posting this... I am having the same problem, and while I have
written to the individual to tell them to cease and disist from attempting to
post to the group, since it was closed and she was not a member and could not
join, she continues (of course). I have told her I would report her spam and I
