C++ Developer with Telcordia Experience

 

Piscataway, NJ 08854

 

Length of Assignment:  Approx. One (1) Year starting ASAP

 

Rate - $40/hr c2c

 

Detailed Job Description:

 

The following are tasks are expected to be performed by the candidate:

 

• Review and provide comments/feedback on feature requirement documents
• Develop and/or review Feature Design documents
• Implement the coding and conduct unit and multi-unit testing
• Assist Quality Assurance with their testing of the system
• Provide field support (analyze & resolve issues), rotating pager support
• Implement and test modification requests (MRs).

 

Skill Sets / Qualifications

The candidate must have a very strong technical background and ability to work on highly complex software systems. Particular emphasis is placed on experience with programming for real time systems, and their interfacing to (UNIX) operating systems. The candidate must have strong programming skills in C++ for distributed (and shared memory) applications, experience in C++ template programming, and in working in multi-threaded server-side environments. The candidate must have a solid understanding of Object Oriented design principals.  The candidate must have a strong background with development of distributed databases; specifically dealing with high availability and fault tolerance/recovery issues.  Knowledge of Java is desirable along with knowledge of computer networking with emphasis on mobile networks and SS7. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and must have very good communication skills. Minimum of 5 years experience.
