Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Developer/Administrator to assist in the ongoing development, administration, expansion, and evolution of a MOSS 2007 environment. This position will also be involved in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure SharePoint provisioning and maintenance that will achieve goals for collaboration, document management, and workflow automation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for SharePoint in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
* Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement a SharePoint architecture that utilizes industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
* Deploy all SharePoint new functionality and assist users in deploying their own Web parts.
* Manage SharePoint communications and interconnections with other key business systems.
* Manage operating SharePoint Servers and Databases.
* Ensure the integrity and security of SharePoint data in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
* Manage SharePoint end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
* Perform SharePoint network and security audits and manage security for all sub-sites.
* Perform and test routine SharePoint back-ups and restores.
* Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve SharePoint problems.
* Coordinate and support application development teams and Active Directory administrators throughout project lifecycles.
* Develop and maintain technical and procedural documentation.
Skills
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
Business Experience: Minimum 2+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing software business solutions and application infrastructures.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
* Understanding of architectural techniques for achieving resiliency, high availability, and high performance of MOSS infrastructure.
* Ability to make judgments on architectural tradeoffs between competing requirements of the infrastructure.
* Ability to effectively model, present, and communicate infrastructure architecture to various audiences consisting of technical and non-technical individuals.
* Expertise in platform technologies upon which the infrastructure architecture can be built and implemented.
* Ability to research, evaluate, and apply emerging technologies and architectural possibilities to the ongoing advancement of the MOSS infrastructure.
* Professional development experience with SharePoint Development projects preferred
* Developing custom SharePoint components, including workflows, web parts, features and templates.
* Professional development experience with VB.NET, ADO ASP.NET, Java Scripting and Web Services.
* Strong object oriented programming background.
* Prior experience working with software development methodologies such as Scrum or Agile preferred.
* Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database development including Table Design, Stored Procedure Development and exposure to SSIS and SSAS.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
