Position: Unix Admin
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration:12+ Months
Rate: Open
Following are the details of the opportunity:
Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree and 3+ years technical experience with 2+ years web experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Assist team with such tasks as, but not limited to: code deployments, middleware patching, troubleshooting application issues and load testing. Will be in a rotating on-call pager rotation. Will assist with application installations and setup. Performs related duties as assigned or requested. Receives general supervision from management and direction from more senior team members. Work location is flexible. Needs to be flexible with work hours.
Should have the following skill sets/experience:
- 2-4 years of WebSphere Application Server
- 2-4 years of Unix(Solaris/Linux/AIX), administration preferable
- 2-4 years of Shell and/or Perl scripting
- 1-3 years of WebSphere MQ
- 1-3 years of Webserver(Sun/Apache/IHS)
- Good Troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Production Support
