Description
This position will perform a key role on DWD's Co-Location project. This will involve migration of the existing server infrastructure (physical and virtual). This includes both hardware involving a highly complex HP blade c-7000 series platform, and software management tools such as vRanger, vFoglight, ESX Server, and vCenter. The position will also be involved in the migration of critical DWD applications from current servers to new servers at the state data center.
This position will be the technical lead or co-lead on several of our infrastructure systems. This includes working on our directory services team to discuss and implement Active Directory design, upgrades, GPO's, group policy management, etc. The qualified candidate will have up-to-date experience including Windows Server 2008, HP blade series c-7000 servers, MS Clustering Services 2003 or higher, and the VMWare server virtualization platform. This position will be involved in our security area and be a technical lead on security projects. This will require strong skills in assisting with infrastructure risk assessments and remediation efforts.
This position will also be involved in several high priority, complex technical and application infrastructure projects such as the implementation of Windows Server 2008, an upgrade to Active Directory 2008, and AD Integrated PKI-Cert server for DWD internal use.
In addition to advanced technical skills, experience using project management tools and methodologies is required as this position will not only participate on technical projects, but could lead them as well.
