The recession's effects have been like a scene on Omaha Beach on D-Day, with one colleague after another of mine being laid off, living off credit cards, or worse. Be it corporate or third party, we all suffer together and succeed together - each a vital component of the puzzle that is our industry. What is even more peculiar is that one would expect that social community sites, blogs and sourcing updates would prosper - as a means to reinvest in ourselves during the downturn to be prepared for the economic recovery when we will compete with thousands for new contract recruiting and perm openings. Is that your strategy? If it is, it hasn't been my observation given the click rates here or community traffic, etc. You agree that Networking is about Jobs (Present & Future), Influence and Knowledge. Let's all recommit to the endeavor of investing in ourselves by introducing ourselves to one another. It's a click and upload away. Yes, We took our typical summer hiatus with fewer updates.
