Voice/Network Engineer
located in
-12 month contract duration.
-SME level knowledge of IP Telephony, TDM based Telephony, routing and switching, VoIP network design and knowledge of call processing architectures.
-Provide high level technical support for IP Telephony systems globally.
-Play a key role in the development of strategies and implementation of IP telephony and unified messaging technologies. Improve the management, monitoring, performance and growth of the rapidly expanding VoIP infrastructure.
-Closely works with technical teams and designated groups in the development and implementation of telephony based business solutions.
-Consult, design, implement, maintain and support the firm's telecommunications infrastructure. ---This includes system administration, troubleshooting, analysis, testing, research, training, problem solving, technical support, development, and testing/deployment of new applications, hardware, and systems.
-Incumbent is responsible for establishing project plans, schedules, and documentation including support processes and operating procedures.
-Function as an internal consultant and resource to others in the department as it relates to current and future telecommunications infrastructures.
-Serve as a project lead on tasks and initiatives of varying size being responsible for the coordination and overall project management as assigned by the Telecommunication Supervisor or Manager of Network Services/Director of Operations.
-Experience in a multi-site implementation greater than 50 sites.
-Must have experience supporting small to medium size call centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
-Provide Installation / Operations Support
-Evaluate, design, analyze, and maintain IP Telephony across an enterprise
-Analyze project needs/requirements and recommend systems to enable enterprise integration of IPT systems and hardware.
-Demonstrate proficiency with the design, provisioning and troubleshooting of WAN technologies such as T1/T3 circuits, frame relay, MPLS, HDLC, PPP and ISDN PRI/BRI
-Definition of project requirements
-HW, OS, and additional SW requirements
-Develop, update, and audit IPT documentation Comprehensive knowledge of emerging network technologies and protocols
-Call processing architecture
-Telephony conversion / migration
-Design scalable dial plans
-Configure voice VLAN
-Configure LAN and WAN QoS
-Integration with traditional systems
-Configure analog, digital (TDM & SIP) PSTN gateways
-Integration with Active Directory / LDAP
-Configure multi-tier call center, call groups, etc
-Managing creation of new user environment
-Improve the management, monitoring, and performance of existing IP Telephony infrastructure
-Make sure products are installed, and configured, correctly
-Management and resolution of help desk tickets
-Creation of operations standards and processes
-Training and mentoring to develop team members
-Install, configure, optimize, and maintain all Cisco Unified Call Managers, voice gateways, and Unity systems
-Provide 2nd and 3rd tier support for corporate and campus IP Telephony
-Cisco CVP IVR and Cisco ICM
-Cisco Unified CallManager/CallManager Express Systems
-Cisco Unity
-Additional applications, such as IPCC, Cisco CTI applications, GED 125 interface
-Network-based SIP trunking utilizing Session Border Controller and SIP Proxy
-QOS to enable VoIP applications
-Experience designing Cisco IP Telephony solutions by translating business requirements into -project plans through implementation of Cisco IP Telephony applications including Cisco ------------CVP/ICM Enterprise call routing, Unfied CallManager/CallManager Express, Cisco Unity Messaging, Cisco IPCC, SRST.
-Analysis, Design and integration of Cisco IP Telephony applications into Enterprise VoIP infrastructure.
-Cisco Unity in configurations supporting Voice Messaging, Unified Messaging with Notes/Exchange, or Integrated Messaging with IMAP
-In-depth, advanced knowledge of and ability to configure voice services on all Cisco LAN/WAN hardware including: ISR Router / Gateways, and Catalyst switches
-Experience in a multi-site implementation (greater than 100 sites). Experience with larger implementations highly desirable.
-Prepare documentation detailing configuration of deployed solution
-Possess business and technical analytical skills to analyze, identify, design, implement and develop comprehensive support processes to resolve complex operational issues involving multi-tiered Cisco IP Telephony applications.
-Demonstrate knowledge of call center operational dynamics as it relates to design, and implementation of ACD, CTI, Network Routing, Reporting utilizing Cisco Unified CCE solutions.
-Demonstrate Proficiency with the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of core LAN/WAN services.
-Demonstrate Proficiency with the design, provisioning and
troubleshooting of WAN technologies such as T1/T3 circuits, frame relay, MPLS, HDLC, PPP and ISDN PRI/BRI.
-Configure analog, digital (TDM & SIP) PSTN gateways
-Strong knowledge of ISDN/QSIG and SIP Trunks
-Prior experience integrating into Active Directory
-CCNA or CCVP Certification is a plus
-SIPX experience is a plus
-Linux and Open Source experience is a plus
-Fast learner that adapts well to changes
-Excellent communication skills
-Certifications required
