Job Title: .NET Developer

Location: Austin, TX. (Local candidate)

Duration: 10 Months

Client: State of TX.

        Work includes leading a team or working collaborative with a team developing NET web applications as part of the FSP Rewrite project.

  1. Lead the technical design and implementation of a custom approval workflow on SharePoint WSS 3.0 environment and may also be assigned other .NET development project work as required.
  2. Develop, test and deploy the custom approval process where Excel 2007 server workbooks must be approved by multiple levels utilizing a SharePoint WSS 3.0 environment.
  3. Work with automated build team or other TEA technical resources to implement standard procedures and NAnt scripts for automated build, unit testing, and deployment of WSS 3.0 customizations.  May be assigned to extend automated build process to be included in the project's continuous integration server environment.
  4. Design when needed business and system use cases and requirements documentation to gain overall understanding of the functionality to be developed.
  5. Provide technical knowledge and expertise on all FSP project development which will be an approval process for Excel workbooks which have been newly created or modified  and must be approved by two levels before the workbooks can be utilized in running Summary of Finance Calculations.
  6. Follow and comply with TEAs processes, procedures, and guidelines for all development work and participate in technical reviews of all components developed.
  7. Perform programming tasks using any of the following: C#, ASP.Net 3.5 +, Visual Studio 2008, Oracle 10g, MS SQL Server 2005 databases and WSS 3.0 Custom Web parts and event handlers.
  8. Communicate with project manager, FSP team lead, team members and customers about change requests and to understand their needs.
  9. Utilize the Agency's change management system and version management systems. (Merant Tracker and Version Manager).
  10. Document all technical work as requested.
  11. Keep agency supervisor and management informed on issues and the status of work planned and complemented by submitting weekly status reports.
  12. Interface as appropriate in carrying out application design and development responsibilities with Agency data analyst, database administrators, network operations, security officer and other IT peers and management.
