General description:

Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops and executes software test plans and testcases. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers and product in resolution of problems. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

 

Requirements for the QA Functional Engineer:

 

• 3-5 years QA experience
• understand requirements and translate these into test cases, scenarios, procedures.
• knowledge of test process, test planning and reporting. Experience with Quality Center is a must.
• experience with back office processing and/or trading system testing is a must.
• possess excellent written and oral communication skills

 

• calculations and business rule validation
• back-end testing experience
• schedule tasks and deliver on time
• financial services experience is a plus
• handle and support dynamic schedule, multiple environments, test cycles and deployments
• meet deadlines despite heavy workload
