Data Warehouse - Tester

Location: Richardson TX

Rate $40/hr        

Position Name: Data Warehouse - Tester

 

Desired Start Date: 10/12/2009          

Anticipated End Date: 12/31/2009

Responsible for data warehouse, dimensional data mart, and enterprise report testing. Primary responsibilities include designing/ developing test strategy and plans, and executing test scripts.  Specific data warehouse test experience is necessary utilizing manual and automated testing skills.  Must be well versed in using Test Script Repository, Test Execution, Defect Reporting, Tracking and Resolution capabilities.  Excellent skills in communicating test results and ability to work with other teams responsible for supporting test issue resolution. Participates in the requirements process with the user community on UAT (user acceptance testing) definition and develops detailed documentation to facilitate transition from mapping through productionalization of data repositories.

 

 

Skills Required:

Strong SQL skills

Strong analytical skills

Relational Database Experience

Experience with the implementation of Dimensional Model(s)

Strong Data Analysis skills and the ability to track a data element from source through transformation to target

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work with, assist and support project team

 

Preferred Skills: 

Data Warehouse experience

SQL Server experience

Teradata experience

UNIX Scripting experience

Health Insurance experience
