Mandatory Skills:  5+ years' professional experience in information technology

Minimum 5 years' experience in data warehousing, including experience in large reporting environments

Minimum 3 years' experience with Siebel Analytics/OBIEE development (Answers, Dashboards, BI Publisher, Delivers)

Ability to work on any of the phases of life cycle, BI projects

Ability to apply the more complex concepts related to your discipline

Ability to conduct problem solving and decision making at the tactical level

Ability to apply technical knowledge and relate it to business acumen

Working knowledge of data modeling is desired

Experience with PL/SQL and SQL languages is a must

Experience with LINUX operating system environment preferred

Experience with one or more of the following technologies is a must: Oracle, Informix, MS SQL Server, Teradata

 

Technical Skills:

Development competency with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).

Extensive expertise with SQL and PL/SQL.

Experience in designing, developing complex business reports and dashboards

Expertise in data warehouse dimensional and relational modeling

Experience working on medium to large-scale data warehouses

Understanding of database performance tuning techniques as it relates to data warehousing

 

Secondary Skills: Experience with Teradata preferred, not required

Duties: This position is a senior OBIEE developer working with the Enterprise Data Warehouse team. This position requires extensive BI experience in reporting and analytics, solid Data Warehouse modeling experience, performance tuning, and senior design and analysis skills.

 

This position is responsible for the full life cycle of the warehouse from requirements gathering and analysis through implementation of the production system. This position is also responsible for the definition, development, and testing of the reports and analytics necessary to retrieve data from both operational and analytical data stores and transform it in to business-actionable information. Experienced with all the techniques used to manage, build, and maintain a data warehouse environment. Extensive knowledge of reporting and analytics is a must. Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced production environment is critical.

 

Ability to work independently or with a team to do all of the following: communicate well with users to understand requirements, analyze source systems, identify business rules, create logical and physical/dimensional data models, map source system data to logical and physical data models, and resolve data and design inconsistencies.

 

* Project-specific duties include development of complex reports/dashboards based on new demand forecasting operational system

* Development of governance processes and automation of procedures
