VMware in HP Blade Server environment - Stamford CT

Location: Stamford,CT

Duration:3-4 mths.

 

We need the VMware design Architect/Implementer in HP Blade Server

environment ASAP.

Please see the following requirement and let me know

*   Vmware Consultant will be responsible for

*   Architect, design, build and test new Vmware virtual environment and migrate existing ESX and GSX host in to HP Blade server by using HP and Vmware echnology toolsets.

*   Apply best practices for virtual networking (Flex-10, virtual connect module) , Vmotion, HA, DRS/DPM in HP blade cluster virtualization environment.

*   Develop and test backup and recovery procedures for the Vmware farms, based on EMC Vmware Best Practices.

*   Document the design and build of the Vmware farms including but  not limited to deployment designs, system configurations, assembly  guides and operational *run-books*.

 *   Provide pre-production support which may include loading O/S  templates, migration of physical server to HP Blade virtualization  farm.

 *   Analyze Capacity Planner data to recommend potential P2V or new  virtual machine requests for sizing and consolidation ratios, Make  recommendations to cluster or host consolidation ratios based upon  live or historical data gathered from VirtualCenter

 *   Create or modify VMware HA settings or cluster groups, VMware  resource pools, VMware Dynamic Resource Scheduler (DRS) settings  within a cluster or resource pool

 *   Mandatory Requirements

 *   At least four (4) years of verifiable experience as a VMWARE  Systems Engineer during the past six (6) years. This experience must  include designing, building (including installation of VI3),  administering, maintaining and troubleshooting complex Vmware  environments (farms) for test and production use. This experience  should also include understanding of the Vmware technologies Capacity  Planner, Virtual Center, Vmotion and HP Blade server configuration,

 flex-10, virtual connect module, HP insight control manager

 *   Documented exposure to latest version of Vmware, vSphere v4.0.

 *   Experience with core networking concepts including Dynamic Host  Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Service (DNS), Transmission  Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and Virtual Local Area  Networks (VLANs).

 *   Must have VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.

 *   Furthermore, it is preferred, but not required the candidate  meet the following qualifications / certifications:

 *   Experience with EMC SAN, Clarrion, 3PAR using Vmware with this  equipment.

 *                       Two (2) years of verifiable experience  performing physical-to-virtual (P2V), virtual-to-virtual (V2V)  migrations
