Immediate interviews and starts for qualified candidates. References required and excellent verbal and communication skills.

Position Description

 Working with application and system support management to ensure updates of all essential application run-books and procedures are clearly documented for new and existing critical systems.
Work side by side with technology support and subject matter experts, interviewing and gathering content to produce operating instructions thorough enough to permit an experienced operator to perform the relevant operation successfully.

Catalog documentation in the operating instructions management knowledge repository (OIM).

Responsible for meeting specific deliverables, reporting progress, and recommending process improvements that can be adapted across the Firm (e.g. templates, frameworks).

 Skills Required

 • Prior application or service support experience in a fixed income or equities trading environment
• Senior-level technical, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of both Windows and UNIX distributed environments
• Prior experience and exposure to programming or scripting languages and relevant server side technologies and monitoring tools
• Broad technical understanding (hardware, software, infrastructure) with an ability to independently learn new technology quickly
• Excellent writing skills and experience writing technical documentation
• Strong oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment

 

Skills Desired
