We need a “Mainframe Tester” immediately for our client!!!.
Position: Mainframe Tester
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12+ Months
Responsibilities:
Mainframe testing in a structured environment.
Subject matter expert to end-users and teammates on tools, procedures, products, policies, and technologies.
Train and mentor associates on functional applications and procedures as necessary.
Develop, review, and execute test plans and test scripts (manual and automated) from requirements and other sources that can be understood and easily followed by other quality associates.
Facilitate and participate in test plan and test case reviews with the test team, subject matter experts, and development to ensure the content, scope and accuracy of all test plans.
Build and review test data to support test scenarios.
Perform defect management from detection through resolution and retest.
Research, develop, implement, and maintain various environmental changes in the testing environments (such as Operating System and software upgrades, database upgrades, hardware changes and migrations, etc.).
Create, maintain, execute and mentor the creation of manual and automated test scripts or automated load test scripts using test automation tools.
Required Skills:
3 yrs. Experience writing JCL code.
5yrs. Natural, COBOL, Adabas Development and/or Testing experience. 5-7 years experience testing software including - 2 or more years experience with automated test tools or equivalent software development experience. (i.e.- Winrunner, Rational)
Experience in reviewing requirements for testing metrics.
Experience gathering requirements, creating complex multi-program test plans and cases, executing.
Strong background in manual and automated regression testing of large or complex systems.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Experience in a structured test environment
IBM Mainframe experience preferred.
