Urg need of QA Lead

The person will work on a development team of 10 (2 QAs total).  90% of their work will be hands on testing, but they must be able to take the responsibility of a Lead role.            

               

The application we are building is designed for a small set of users who will program algorithms in it.  Thus it is critical that this person be able to understand and replicate the work that users do.  The person needs to have aptitude for math and general smarts.

 

Here is what we are looking for:               

•             Aptitude for math & raw smarts

•             Technical testing experience.  Some programming skills.

•             A nose for what is important to do when.  Someone who can look at the unusual system we are building and know how to test it.  Someone who can creatively think about testing approach.

•             Very strong personality and ability to advocate for QA team on a project team of highly opinionated individuals.

•             Ability to lead and manage a team of 1-2 testers, prioritizing and probing their work.

•             Performance testing experience

•             Agile experience
