Informatica with Hyperion –Financial Services

Location LA, CA (Locals Preferred)

Duration: 4-6 Months

Desired Skills:

• Should be a good blend of Business Analysis, Converting business requirements into technical ETL specifications which include but not limited to transformation rules, data stratification rules, data validation rules, business applicability rules.
• Should be able to understand the overall business needs of the project and then conduct data analysis to map out the ETL rules as outlined above to the Target ODS and STAR Data models. This is a hands on development role.
• Total of 12 year IT experience, 8+ years experience in using/ querying multi-dimensional data models (star Schema, slowly changing dimensions, fact tables) as the basis for the report development.
• Should have in depth understanding of ODS and STAR dimensional models. Strong knowledge of SCD types.
• Should have Strong to Exceptional PL/SQL, Oracle Analytic functions and SQL writing skills to extract data sets from Oracle 10g data warehouse.
• Should have good QA skills to test the data for accuracy to meet the needs.
• Should understand the data structure, the underlying business processes that necessitated the data structures and be able to query data out of the data base for consumption.
• Proven experience in at least 6 DW/BI projects with progressive roles as a Lead/Developer.
• At least 6 years of Informatica hands on Informatica ETL experience.
• Ability to motivate and seek out accurate business requirements from end users.
• Should be able to take requirements form end users, design, develop and deliver solutions independently.
• Ability to influence the DW data model as and when appropriate.
• Ability and experience to effectively lead end users in UAT.
• Should have experience in articulating complex business problems and its solutions to Business and technical teams.
• Should be able to provide effort estimates for work required to be completed by self.
• Should be able to review estimates provided by peers.
• Should have report development experience in a DW/BI context.
• Hyperion Brio BI a plus but not essential.
• High degree of accountability required to meet dead lines.
• Financial/lending industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent business user facing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong team player. Will need to interface with Business users, ETL team and Hyperion report development teams.
• Should be a self starter, mature with a high degree of accountability to meet deadlines.
• Should work on site at Torrance. Telecommuter not preferred.
• High work ethics, team player, can do attitude and flexibility.
• This is an individual contributor role.
• Should be able to research and strategize on scalable solutions when needed.
• Should be well rounded individual and able to wear multiple hats as required.
