MID TO SENIOR JAVA/J2EE DEVELOPER (Must have DoD Secret clearance)
Location is DC
Duration is 6 months+. Could be cntract to hire if desired.

Job Description:
Client has an immediate opening for a mid-level to senior-level Java/J2EE Developer with knowledge, motivation and energy to build and maintain a robust and flexible business logic application.

The successful candidate will work with the project manager to plan, design, develop, test, debug and deploy a web application using best-of-breed Java technologies. An ideal candidate will be an extremely proficient Java/J2EE developer, and will be comfortable handling new challenges involving emerging technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide a senior-level contribution to the project, responsible for the maintenance, design, development, and
implementation of a critical business application using best-of-breed Java technologies.
Work with traditional software lifecycle methodologies. Create and/or maintain design documents when and as required.
Perform coding, debugging and testing.
Define the integration between proposed development modules and existing application, software and hardware.
Consider and research emerging technologies to improve current application, architecture and processes.
Work in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance and technical guidance.

Qualifications:
DoD Secret or higher Security Clearance Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
3-5+ years Java Development experience with J2EE
Experience with Struts, JSP, AJAX, XML, Jasper Report Writer
Facility with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
Current knowledge of application servers such as Apache Tomcat and Weblogic
Excellent object-oriented design & programming skills, including strong working knowledge and experience in using UML
and design patterns
Further, the ideal candidtate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, will be a true team player with a commitment to success, and will be able to thrive in a small business atmosphere.
Must have a final DOD SECRET clearance.
Will work in our Annandale Offices.
