Global Payroll Process Manager (Located in Eagan)

Global Payroll Services is implementing an outsourced Global Payroll Solution for 93 countries.  Local projects are run by local stakeholders and project managers.  The Global Payroll Process Manager will provide oversight and drive forward any projects/processes operating at a global level.  Candidate must be familiar with the payroll process end to end – HR Data Load to Payroll Process Gross to Net to General Ledger Reporting.  While expertise in every country’s local payroll legislation is not required, successful candidate will be well versed in the general payroll process end to end, including controls and audit requirements.  The Global Payroll Process Manager will also need to ensure that local processes adhere to the global model wherever possible – unless there is an overriding local legal or policy requirement.  This position will report to the business owner of the Global Payroll Implementation Project; will drive global payroll process projects through to completion; and will provide oversight to ensure local payroll projects conform to agreed global standard operations.

Responsibilities:

1)       Manage global projects

a.      Global Standardization of Earnings and Deduction Codes

b.      HR Master Data Interface from PeopleSoft to Payroll

c.       General Ledger Custom Reports/Database Setup

d.     Employee Self-Service Options

e.      Processing and Reporting International Assignments (Home and Host Country)

2)      Maintain Statistics

a.      Develop/maintain global payroll processing metrics

b.      Monitor and analyze global payroll project budgets

c.       Monitor and analyze ongoing global payroll costs

3)      Create End to End Process Flow documents and Forms/Templates for global processes (international assignments, ESPP)

Requirements: 

Proficiency in Excel, Access, Visio, Power Point

Drives projects proactively

Financial background (budget analysis and general ledger setup for payroll-related accounts)

Works collaboratively with diverse groups – payroll teams, finance, HR, payroll providers

Willing to support various time zones
