candidates must be able to use standard Microsoft tools in development

we are  a VS environment, please have troubleshooting capabilities

All candidates are asked to indicate what development tools that they are strongest with in submittal.

 

 Requirements:

 

*  Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience)

*  Intermediate to advanced level with at least 3 years of professional development experience

*  Experience/expert-level knowledge with web browser technologies, especially JavaScript, VBScript, D, AJAX, JavaScript frameworks, PHP, CSS and Dot Net Nuke

*  Experience with databases including Microsoft SQL and MySQL

*  Experience in configuring and working with IIS or Apache

*  Basic knowledge of SQL queries

*  Preference for developers with experience with VB.NET

*  Intermediate to advanced level ASP.NET (2.0/3.5) ,ASP.NET Security Framework,VB.NET (2.0/3.5) 

*  AJAX

*  Intermediate to Advance level SQL Server (2005/2008),SQL Server Reporting Services with Report Server administration

*  IIS administration (v5/v6 including SSL implementation)

*  SharePoint development and administration

 

 

Additional helpful skills:

 

*  Windows Server 2003/2008 knowledge and administration

*  Some experience or understanding of virtualization

*  Understanding of development lifecycle, and Microsoft best practices and standards

 

  

 

The Web Developer*s role will be responsible for maintaining and updating all corporate websites as well as build new web applications to support on-going business needs.  The position will also be involved in building/maintaining reporting systems

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

*  Design, develop, implement and test web based applications

*  Apply industry standard object-oriented programming best practices and design patterns

   Plan, initiate and conduct unit testing of applications as well as facilitate system testing

*  Support and troubleshoot production applications

*  Understand system performance measures associated with the introduction of new technologies

*  Optimize software to enhance and improve performance and functionality

*  Meet development objectives and deadlines

 

 

Skill set:

 

*  Extensive knowledge of front-end and back-end web development technologies and concepts

*  Strong design and implementation skills pertaining to web applications, database design and rich media applications

*  Robust understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and design

*  Knowledge of industry-standard application architectures, design patterns and technology standards and best practices

*  Experience in designing and developing highly scalable and maintainable rich internet applications

*  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

*  Ability to multi-task  and prioritize responsibilities effectively

*  Strong organizational and analytical skills
