Senior VMware Engineer

 

Long term contract

 

Washington, DC

 

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for assessing 900+ physical servers across multiple domains. Design and build a High Available ESX Vmware and physical environment with redundancy within and across sites. The engineer will also be responsible for assessing and migration of physical server into the ESX VMware environment at the datacenters. The engineer will be Assessing, design and build out environments for Windows 2008, 2003 and 2000 operating systems.

 

The Successful Candidate has these Required and Desired Skills and Experience.

 

·        8 Years of Customer Service, support and consulting experience is required

·        4 years of enterprise level customers of more than 5000 users is required

·        F5 BIG-IP LTM Certified Engineer is a plus

·        MSCE Certification is required

·        1 year Sun Certified System Administrator experience for Solaris7 is required

·        CCNA Certification is highly desired

·        4 years of experience with VMware ESX, VMware Server and Microsoft Virtual Server  is required

·        Experience with storage provisioning on EMC CLARiiON Series SAN’s, ISCI and NAS  is highly desired

·        4 Years of Experience in Administration of DNS, DHCP, WINS and VPN is required

·        8 years of Experience in the implementation and Administration of Windows Active Directory Services is required

·        5 years of Deployment experience in Microsoft Operations Systems is required
