Job Title: Performance Tester Engineer

Location: Alpharetta GA

Duration: 6+ Months

Rate: $45/hr

 

 

Required Skills:

·         The  Performance Test Engineer will need to perform the following tasks:

·         work with Functional analysts to review performance requirements of the systems being tested, create Performance Test Plans and scripts based on requirements, using Mercury Load Runner/Performance Center create Load Test script scenarios, execute Load Tests working with other infrastructure and test teams to assist in monitoring, analyze results of Load Tests and make correlations with system resource feedback,. 

·         Be an active member of  the performance team in planning and scheduling the tests across the MPT organization.

·         To be considered for this position, candidate must have at least 2 -3 years of total work experience with computer technology including experience in a Software Engineering role, of these 1 year in an Application performance and tuning role.

·         Experience with the following technologies is helpful: Mercury/HP Load Runner, Microsoft NT Server platforms (NT, 2000, XP, 2003), Oracle, MS-SQL, and Linux.

·         Experience with Mercury Performance Center.

·         A strong background in Application performance testing and tuning, including performance test scripting is preferred.

·         Experience in the Healthcare industry.

·         Strong troubleshooting skills, written and oral communication skills (documentation is important), and attention to detail are important.

·         You must be able to work with many different types of people (Developers, Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, and QA Teams) and work as a member of a team and work independently with minimal supervision. 

·         Familiar with CMMI processes.

·         Preferred Education (including Major): B.S., Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical degree.

 

 

 

Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that any application deployed into our client's production environment is capable of supporting the number of users/transactions it is designed for and more importantly to be able to effectively scale to support future volumes.

This is not just a testing role but an Engineering role.

This individual will be working with architecture and development in the design phase to make performance recommendations, creating Load Test scripts and performance testing the application in the QA phase, and finally validating assumptions/calculations in the production phase.
