Phone screen followed by In-person interview EAD, GC or Citizen preferred Need two professional references from recent projects No of position: 2 Title: Mainframe DB2 DBA Location: Eagan, MN Duration is 10+ months     Short Description: Work Hours Typically 8am to 5pm M-F. Off Hours Coverage will be required. IBM Mainframe DB2 DBA with working knowledge of data replication using Data Propagator, SQL/REP, Q/REP Complete Description: Works on Mainframe environment needs. Primary function is to work with the databases and coordinates efforts with developers and architects. Reviews business requirements, identifies and resolves programming issues and completes testing process once programming is complete. The Database Administrator is responsible for the following: install, upgrade and maintenance of databases; Initial conversion and design of existing database and other files mainframe environment. Mainframe platform knowledge and skills required. Work with systems administration staff to determine "best practices" and standards for database implementation on each platform. Work with development staff to implement business applications and determine "best practices" and standards for database use and access. Work with security staff to develop, implement and maintain database security. Set and monitor database alerts. Monitor database logs and performance. Maybe requested to help develop and implement backup/restore procedures for databases. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Requires excellent analytical ability, facilitative, consultative, communication skills, and strong judgment. Behavior Characteristics: Flexible work hours, works with team to accomplish objectives.
