Need: Senior Datawarehouse (Oracle)Developer.

Duration: 9 - 12 months

Location: New York City

Rate: $50/hr.

Financial Background Experience is a Big Plus

Note from the Manager:

They need someone with both solid Oracle PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, DB knowledge.
Also must have solid experience in database design, Data Warehousing, experience with Large Db's

For Example: different db designs (snowflake vs. Star schema), which is imperative to build/maintain databases
Built/designed/managed enterprise solutions in the past
Extensively used partitions, archiving for large databases
The job requires someone who would take responsibility in DW and DMarts specifically around a database which would be receiving 3-6 million rows per day. This is a dynamic solution which requires extensive knowledge/experience/foresight into understanding potential pitfalls (both conceptual and physical) and would work to resolve and more importantly prevent concerns related to both volume and process.

Qualifications:
The consultant will be responsible for development of database stored procedures and scripts for DWH/Cash By Business Line. Responsibility includes:
•low-level design
•PL/SQL programming
•unit test construction
•participation in integration testing
•participation in user acceptance testing
•performance analysis
•deployment script development
•production support
        Developer (Oracle)
        Required Skills:
-4 or more years as Oracle PL/SQL developer
-Experience of working to a structured methodology.
-Entity-relationship modeling.
-Strong understanding of SQL.

Desired Skills:
-Experience with data warehouse.
-Experience of development of mission critical applications.
-Knowledge of financial markets products.
