QA Tester

Los Gatos, CA

We are looking for an experienced senior qa engineer.

 

This person will be designing and developing test plans, executing tests on various devices and gaming platforms.

 

If you say YES to all these questions, then you are the right candidate we are looking for.

 

1. Are you excited to work on cutting edge technology, and have a strong background in testing consumer applications?

2. Have you written test plans/test cases, executed them based on a UI specification and other protocol specifications?

3. Are you a grey box tester, with a strong desire to execute tests, debug and diagnose issues on various devices, gaming platforms etc?

4. Have you worked in a lab, helped set it up, are proficient in working with network equipment?

5. Do you have a good understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP technology?

 

Responsibilities:

 

* Do end to end testing of  video streaming application on a variety of devices.

* Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test specifications.

* Work cross functionally across multiple groups and projects.

* Provide and meet time estimates for assigned deliverables.

* Work closely with stakeholders to ensure a successful, high quality release

 

Requirements:

 

* You must have a strong background in testing consumer electronic devices,

* Ability to create and execute test plans

* Proficient in scripting

* Proficient in following technologies: Linux/Unix, Networking, HTTP

* Motivated by continuous learning and development, dedication to building superior product

* BS, BE or equivalent

 

Nice to have:

 

* Prior experience in testing IPTV*s, embedded devices, set top boxes
