Business Analyst with Pharma Experience

 

Location: Boston, MA

 

Length: 6 months         

 

Rate: $40/hr C2C

 

The candidate requires minimum experience of 5 years in any one of the qualifications specified in the qualifications section in order to receive the maximum billing rate

Qualifications:

 

Ø      Requires a B.S in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, B.S in life sciences preferred

Ø      Minimum 3 years experience in assay support of scientists in pharmaceutical, biotech or academic labs, or equivalent work experience.

Ø      SQL (Oracle) and understanding of relational database models

Ø      Experience in Pipeline Pilot and Perl Desirable experience:

• Familiarity or experience with one or more of the following (or similar) applications:

• In-vitro and/or in-vivo data management platforms such as ActivityBase, BioBook, etc. • Isentris/ISIS, Chemcart, Pipeline Pilot and/or Spotfire, Perl and or Python   

 

Responsibilities:

Position will support the MRL-Boston (MA) site in the day-to-day use of global in-vitro and in-vivo assay management platforms and tools.

• Serving as a technical and scientific consultant to local Basic Research scientists for assay data management and analyses

• Design in-vitro and in-vivo analysis templates for our global assay management platforms

• Translating scientific requirements into technical solutions

• Developing technical solutions using Pipeline Pilot or Perl, and/or Python

• Provide hands-on assistance, training and support on the use of tools to display, analyze and visualize results data and to upload data into the corporate data repositories

• Engaging colleagues at other sites, as well as delivery, operations and shared service organizations, as needed to effectively support the scientific objectives
