BEE-0817106- Sr.Build Engineer( With .NET-based applications)

Hi,

     This is Vysham from Sriven Infosys Inc, looking for consultants for below requirement.

 

Position:  Build Engineer / Project Manager (Experience with web application deployment (specifically .NET-based applications)

Location: Hillsboro, OR

Duration: 6 months (with options to extend)

 

The main requirement is Build Engineering, but client  would like to have an engineer with some project management experience.

Years of Experience: 5+ Yrs
Experienced in Build eng. 3+ Yrs

Project Description:
This is a development project (primarily web-based) that consists of multiple self-contained development teams with aggressive deliverables. The role involves build management of the integration builds for the various releases as well as coordination of the QA processes and interactions with each of the teams.
Daily Responsibilities: Could include any or all of the following:
1. Writing batch files
2. Scheduling the build files for deployment
3. Writing scripts to further automate the build (batch files, writing scripts for uploading files using FTP)
4. Deploying .net based apps

Necessary Skills (Must Have):
BS degree in Computer Science or similar field, with more than three years of experience in development and software testing / testing methodologies, and three years of experience in technical project management.

. Experience with writing batch files and scripts
. Experience with web application deployment (specifically .NET-based applications)
. Experience with build systems / tools (e.g. Cruise Control, TFS etc.)
. Experience with version control systems (branching, merging, versioning etc,)
. Familiarity with continuous integration practices (frequent builds, integration of unit test cases / smoke test scripts with builds, etc)
. Experience in creating and automating unit test cases
. Exposure to disciplined defect tracking and reporting
. Experience working with / in cross-geo teams
. Excellent problem-solving abilities
. Process Management / Judgment skills (ability to analyze a situation and create a process to effectively deal with it / optimize time spent) and strong attention to detail
. Ability to make decisions based on analyzing data - ex: triage web development issues and suggest severity.

Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
Ability to coordinate, facilitate and run meetings with technical audiences
Facilitate and DRIVE meetings to triage and prioritize.
