Middleware Engineer- Oracle SOA

Need Middleware Engineers to join our middleware operations team, responsible for the support of our evolving service-oriented architecture platform, based on the Oracle SOA Suite.
Responsibilities include:
• Participate in the administration and support of Monsanto's SOA infrastructure
• Install, configure, and support Oracle SOA tools
• Create and maintain documentation including SOP’s, troubleshooting and support best practices
• Enhance and document SOA monitoring practices and SOP’s
• Develop/enahnce SLAs, SLOs and metrics to measure performance, capability and capacity and to report on all aspects of system operations
• Participate in the definition of standards and processes for the platform
• Drive effective communication and win-win solutions across competing stake holders and cross-functional entities
• Prioritize requests and effectively plan work
• Proactively communicate task status, progress and solutions to problems
• Proactive risk management - identify and mitigate risk, and drive issue resolution
• Execute established change control processes and guidelines
• Work with end users to provide post-implementation support, resolve questions and define system improvements
• Act as primary contact for SOA infrastructure issues, including responses to system outages
• Provide on-call support as required.
General Skills:
• 5 or more years experience administering Enterprise Service Bus and/or Business Process Management technologies
• Experience with SOA governance technologies (repository/registry)
• Experience with web services design concepts and technologies
• Working knowledge of SOA standards and trends
• Experience administering WebLogic Application Server
• Working knowledge of networking, understanding of DNS and experience with load balancing
• Experience with enterprise monitoring suites is a plus
• Proven ability to assimilate and apply technologies through independent research
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate and influence effectively with IT and Business partners, including ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear, concise manner
• Ability to work in complex business domains with rapidly changing requirements
• Excellent analytic skills - must approach problems and issues in a logical/systemic manner, research issues to the lowest level and resolve them decisively
• Must be proficient in creating technical documents such as SOP’s, best practices, and guidelines
• Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Must be self motivated, able to plan work effort and manage to schedule and priorities
• Must be flexible, adaptable, & available for support during non-standard hours
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems (MCS, MIS) or in related field is required.
Technical Skills:
• Experience with Oracle/BEA SOA Suite (Oracle Service Bus, BPEL Process Manager, Web Services Manager, Enterprise Repository and Service Registry) is preferred
• Experience with WebLogic 10.x or higher is preferred
• Experience with relational database technologies (Oracle, SQL) - specific knowledge of database technologies: Oracle 10g / 11i, RAC, PL/SQL is preferred
• Expertise in Internet technologies: HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, XPATH, TCP/IP, SOAP, XML, XSD, WSDL, XSLT
• Experience with WS-Security
• Experience with Java, JSP, JavaScript
• Experience with WLST scripting
• Experience performing Java/J2EE design and development is preferred
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
