Preferred Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of overall IT experience . 3-5 years of Teradata DBA Experience .
• Prior experience delivering database solutions using Teradata.
• Responsibilities:
• Conversion of Logical data model to physical data model , Space estimation TERADATA - Indexing strategy (define/ change - decisions behind doing these). Multivalue compression , Performance tuning .
• Experience in designing large scale analytical databases across multiple operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Teradata).
• Provide depth and direction through development of standards, policies, architecture patterns, and frameworks.
• Align CUstomer to corporate enterprise data and Business Intelligence direction through the Enterprise Architecture relationship.
• Socialize on a recurring basis, the target architecture along with standards and policies. Partner with solution architects, project engineers, application development management, data modelers, database administrators and other stakeholders for input, support, and detail.
• As needed, provide technical oversight to Data Warehouse and business intelligence design and development activities.
• Last but not least, ability to articulate in detail, the points mentioned in the resume so that the interviewer gets a clear picture of what the associate has worked on

• Good understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Performance Management market and applications .
• Good understanding of Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management and Essbase .
• A senior BI professional with at least 7-8 years of relevant experience .
• Good understanding of finance, functional, planning & budgeting domain .
• Be able to acquire process & technical knowledge around these areas and playback the acquired knowledge .
• Prior experience in Production Support for above applications in an onsite/offshore engagement model
• . Be able to set up the required project infrastructure by coordinating with different technical and functional teams .Identify gaps and suggest process improvements in the above areas .
• Responsible for resolution of incidents and tickets in steady state mode .
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and proactive issue prevention  .
• Automation of repetitive tasks
