Well I think I did the exact same thing. I have another email address that I
use frequently so I added that email address as a member of the group. I also
decided to add that email address as a second address on my account profile.
Not sure which I did first. But the result was that I was a member of the
group but no longer an owner. So now - Tues, Sep 8 2009 11:51 pm

Hi everyone, especially Aldo, Thanks for replying. I've sent a request to the
"owner" of the group, but no-one that I know received the message. I think
what probably happened is the previous owner "demoted" herself from "owner" to
a regular user, OR managed to unsubscribe herself while still being owner. -

I too am having the same issue, with a member with a join date of 1969. My
group: [link]And guess who it is? Me! I am listed on there twice, and getting
2 copies of each email. There used to be a way to have an account set with 2 (
or more email addresses, and each associated email address would have

I created it with my primary mail account bryngolauATgooglemailDOTcom, which
is the address I accidentally banned - I'd read of solutions involving the
adding / removal of email addrresses against a google account, but that's

Hi Aldo, I approved a member on the 2nd. This guy stated the reason he wanted
to join my group was to meet people, which was ok. I checked to see if he was
on other google groups, but nothing, which doesn't change anything. He signed
up with a gmail account and that is what our membership says, but ever since
