Helpdesk level 1& level 2 support

I thought you would be interested to hear about this particular Contract position at a One of the world's largest financial services conglomerates.(the reference # for this position:15452)
Detailed Info: The candidate will serve as an application support/helpdesk analyst for business users
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
First point of contact for all user issues: Provide 1st and 2nd level Helpdesk/ application support for Investment Research users globally
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technology related issues called /emailed to the Helpdesk.
End-to-end problem management: Ensure all user issues are logged, escalated (when necessary), updated and resolved using the helpdesk problem management system (Virtual Tech)

Development/Computing Environment: Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 3-7 Years
Fluency in English, working knowledge of a 2nd language (Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, etc) is a plus
Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft products (Windows 2000/XP, Office 2003 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)
Experience supporting Market Data Applications (Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters Products, FactSet, etc)
Knowledge of programming languages (VB, .Net, VBA), database applications is a plus
Exposure to Remote connectivity, Blackberry devices
Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills
Outstanding Customer Service skills
Prior Helpdesk/Call Center/Customer Service experience is a plus
Willingness to learn and understand Investment Research and Analysis business terminology and applications supporting the business flow
Readiness/Ability to work rotating shifts (7am - 4pm / 9am- 6pm NYT, etc), and Weekend On-Call Support (about once every 7 weeks)
Skills Required for the position:Application Support, WINDOWS 2000, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, ACCESS, POWERPOINT, MARKET DATA, BLOOMBERG, BLACKBERRY ;VBA, VB.NET, SPANISH are optional.
This position is at a Tribeca 1, NYC location. It offers a competitive compensation.
