Overview:

To act as a technology leader and use extensive knowledge of business and I/S best practices to influence Clients business and I/T solutions. Leads system development and integration of multiple systems by providing technical guidance and direction to project team members. Utilizing established relationships, consult with Client leaders and vendors on business process improvements. Provides guidance for I/S policies, procedures, tools, security and infrastructure. Will be responsible for becoming the Client IT subject matter expert on the new membership system; collaborating with the vendor on the architecture and design to ensure Client’s goals are met.

Responsibilities:

1. Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

2. 8-10 years experience in computer applications development and/or system analyst position with experience.

3. Experience in systems development life cycles.

4. 6 years Java experience (Application architecture/design/development/implementation preferably some on the mainframe)

5. Strong Relational Database experience and SQL, preferably with DB2.

6. Experience in service oriented architecture, layered architecture, components, or web services

7. UML, Agile Methods (SCRUM), Model Driven Architecture, Object Oriented Analysis & design.

8. Knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure.

9. Experience object-oriented programming techniques.

10. Experience in various Information Technology platforms (Client Server, Data Warehouse, Internet/Intranet, Electronic Commerce, etc) and how each fits within and/or complements the enterprise architecture.

11. Good understanding of business continuity concepts and value.

12. Ability to coach and mentor teammates.

13. Knowledge of project methodologies.

14. Ability to think strategically.

15. Demonstrated strong analytic abilities and strong problem solving skills.
