Database Administrator
The Database Administrator is responsible for managing the various development and test schemas and assisting with the performance tuning of the IBIS System developed for the Illinois Department of Employment Security. The candidate will report to the Technical Architecture Lead and is required to perform the following activities and tasks:
Ø Maintain development and test schemas and apply Database Change Requests (DBCRs)
Ø Analyze performance of IBIS System screens and batch jobs and recommend enhancements
Ø Review SQL for standards compliancy and performance
Ø Recommend physical data model changes to improve application performance
Desired Skills: DB2, SQL, Mainframe, Rational Toolset (ClearCase, ClearQuest), performance tuning experience
Experience: 3+ number of years in the field or related area and applicable certifications
