Title: Release Project Manager
Location: Walnut Creek, CA
Duration: 3 Months
Rate: $48/Hr

They must have Release Management experience along with MS Project and Project Management experience.

Client looking to fill a contractor role of Benefit Enhancement Tracking System (BETS) Release Manager to work within the Products and Benefits sub-portfolio of the Health Plan BIO

Position Description:
Activities include coordinating the delivery of multiple projects, developing cost benefit analyses for the program, communicating to an executive committee, creating and reporting program status utilizing a dashboard, allocating resources across the multiple projects, defining project governance policies and managing the financial concerns of the program. Must be able to utilize and effectively communicate technical components of an initiative to applicable parties.

Position Description:
Release PM Responsibilities: 
- Receive initial page on all BETS incident tickets and assign ticket to appropriate regional IT PM/IT Business Consultant to be triaged. This requires off hours coverage since we are supporting regions in 4 different time zones(Hawaii Standard Time, Pacific Time Zone, Rocky Mountain Time Zone, Eastern Time Zone) 
- Assign incident ticket to appropriate developer after incident is triaged by regional PM/Business Consultant 
- Documenting root cause for high incidents and attending meetings in which root cause analysis is reviewed and approved 
- Attend weekly National RFC CAB calls to gain approval to implement BETS changes in production 
- Attend weekly Regional Functional CAB calls to gain approval to implement BETS changes in prod(CAB calls for Hawaii, NW, Ohio, MAS and Colorado) 
- Generate open/closed Remedy incident reports weekly and distribute to the BETS IT and NBA team 
- Obtain weekly status of MOUs and development of CRs by release and distribute to BETS IT and NBA management team 
- Email BETS weekly activity report to BETS IT and NBA management team 
- Create implementation plan for BETS releases 
- Manage implementation of BETS releases on weekends beginning at Saturday 1:00 a.m est. 
- Creating or obtaining the necessary information for the following documents and attaching them to an RFC in remedy:

SOX - Release Content Assessment
SOX - Release Content Change Request
Release Implementation Plan
Release Back-Out-Plan
SOX - System Test Plan
SOX - System Test Summary
SOX - UAT Test Plan
SOX - UAT Test Summary
SOX - GO Live Decision
KP Post Validation Plan
Required documents (OOC)
Required documents (Patch)
Required documents (Emergency)

***Candidates must have a strong Release Management background. Ideally, the candidates will have Big Six experience.***

Additional Information: 
Release managers act as the primary interface for the business partners and the initiatives that are scheduled for a BETS Release. They manage timelines, status reports and statistics. Experience Level: 3-6 Years. Skill Set:

BASIC/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* 5 to 6+ years experience directing the full spectrum of IT development and implementation of highly complex, large scale, multi-location, multi-year corporate IT initiatives.
* 4+ years experience with managing budgets and metrics associated with large projects.
* 5+ years expertise in system development lifecycle methodologies
* 4+ years experience managing and coordinating multiple concurrent projects.
* Willingness to travel 10% to the different regions.
