Position:  Systems/Application Architect
Location:  Nashville, TN
Duration:  13 months plus (Rate: 45$-50$hr Max)

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Need a Systems/Application Architect for Java development. This contractor will be working on a re-engineering project initiated to eliminate problems associated with the legacy system.

This solutions architect will be responsible for: overseeing Web Services, ensuring complete Web Services test coverage, ensuring that Web Services meet all business rules, finding the correct solutions in Web Services performance tuning, as well as mentoring junior Web Services developers in code development and cleanup.

Required Skills/Experience:
Experience in the following is required: Apache CXF, Spring and CXF integration, Apache axis, SOAP UI 3.0 and Groovy 1.6.

Requires a minimum of 5 years of current experience in this job class with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Must hold a BA/BS degree (advanced degree a plus)
Experience in Apache CXF
(Minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 5 years)
Experience in Spring and CXF Integration
(Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 5 years)
Experience in Apache Axis
(Minimum of 3 years of experience within the last 5 years)
Experience in SOAP UI 3.0
(Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 5 years)
Experience in Groovy 1.6
(Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 5 years)
Extensive experience in Web Services performance testing is desired
(Minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 5 years)

Desired Skills/Experience:
An ability to integrate solutions across multiple functional and technical environments is desired.
Experience working on implementation of a distributed system interfacing with DB2 is preferable.
Also desired is extensive experience in Web Service performance testing.
Experience working on implementation of a distributed motor vehicle system is preferable.
