Project Summary and Position Overview: (A detailed description of the Project and what the Position entails must be included)  

Market Analyst, US New Issues team: Support accurate and timely U.S. Fixed Income New Issues data production, league tables, and analysis for Client  products  

           

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

Process new issues data and take responsibility for data quality, accuracy, timeliness and completeness; Research new and review existing sources to ensure that quality, timeliness and automation are improved; Support production or league tables and analysis; Seek efficiencies in work practices to achieve automation; Work effectively within teams or by yourself; Be proactive to identify and resolve problems; Input expertise into projects or ad hoc activities where appropriate; Ensure timely and complete resolution of queries from internal and external clients; Use appropriate language skills to understand and source financial information both internally and externally

Qualification:          

Education:    

Bachelor's Degree – pref of Business or Finance degree NOT looking for candidates with Masters degree as the manager feels this makes them overqualified.   

           

Required Skills (Must have), Necessary industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:   

Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, v look-up, macros, etc) and Access. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.        

           

           

Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills), Necessary industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:         

           

List in order of importance 1) Proficient in SQL 2) Data experience either in production, helpdesk, quality or projects 3) Thomson Reuters products and/or knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
