Job Title: Sr Java Developer

· Candidates whose background and expertise satisfy most, if not all, of the following selection criteria are sought:
· Degree, majoring in Computer Science/Information Systems, with a minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience in building java based J2EE applications
· Strong understanding of Object Oriented technology and standard java development frameworks.
· Software Development Life Cycle Experience.
· Extensive knowledge in Java, EE, Java SE 1.4/1.5/1.6, STRUTS, SPRING, EJB, Servlets, RMI, JDBC, JNDI, JNI, Java Beans - POJO.
· Working knowledge in JSP, Java Scripts, XML/XSLT, HTML and DHTML
· Experience in analysis & design using UML and case complete.
· Experience with JBOSS 4.x, IBM Web Sphere Application server 5.x/6.x, TOMCAT, Apache and Oracle Application server 10g.
· Specialized in using IDEs like Eclipse 3.x, IBM Web Sphere Application Developer 5.x and Eclipse3.0 with JBOSS Test environment.
· Knowledge on LDAP, Java Authentication and Authorization Services (JAAS), Sun OpenSSO, Kerberos, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Secure Socket Layer(SSL), Transport Layer Security (TLS) and industry standard two factor authentication using RSA will be an added advantage.
· Extensively worked with Relational Databases Oracle 10g with JDBC thin and thick clients.
· Strong knowledge on Oracle 10g SQL, PL/SQL procedures, Oracle Application server and object library for Java development. Knowledge on Oracle APEX will be an added advantage.
· Experience in Code control tools like CQ2 and SVN.
· Experience with JIRA for task and bug tracking.
· Experience with Business Objects/
· Functionally proficient in performing business process analysis, gathering and analyzing requirements, creating design specifications, unit test plans and system test plans, testing, development, and production support.
· Technically proficient in module development and upgrades based on organizational needs.
· Proven ability to support major technology initiatives and tasks of the unit including coordination of working teams and maintenance of close and constructive working relationships with management and staff in defining and resolving technology issues.
· Proven conceptual, analytical and judgmental skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
Job Description
· The sought-after resource would fill the position of a senior Java Developer of the Treasury Financial Technology division (TREFT) of the World Bank.
· This person’s primary responsibility would be to assist development and maintenance of Java based applications running on Java EE application servers.
· This would involve:
· Participate in team to design and develop of Java based EE applications using oracle 10g as the backend.
· Coordinate development and testing activities with peers locally and offshore;
· Providing project implementation support;
· Providing detailed technical documentation where deemed necessary.
