Position Description

Enterprise Architect / ERP

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with solution management and architecture
  • Assist staff with strategic objectives within the ERP implementation
  • Evaluate and analyze functional specifications submitted by functional teams
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on overall implementation strategies
  • Provide guidance and support during the course of integration between legacy M-DCPS systems and the selected ERP system
  • Assist in fully, clearly and accurately documenting new systems and process for M-DCPS
  • Assist in gap analysis between M-DCPS requirement and SAP functionality, review and adopt new functionality in SAP
  • Identify needs for systems development, specify requirements and review data requirements with functional development team
  • Assist M-DCPS staff with defining overall enterprise and solutions architecture
  • Adhere to ERP PMO standards, including updating progress, delays, and risk on project plan

Qualifications

  • At least 5 Years Implementation or Solutions Architect Experience
  • At least 5 years ERP Implementation Experience, 3 Years minimum within the SAP product(s)
  • At least 8 Years overall IT/IS experience
  • Strong Project Management or Implementation Management experience
  • Formal Project management certification (PMI, PRINCE II, etc.) highly desirable
  • Experience with Integration of ERP systems to multiple legacy systems
  • Experience in the Public Sector desirable, K-12 experience preferred
  • Skills in SAP FI/CO modules required, HCM module and Functional SAP experience a plus (Configuration, etc)
  • Knowledge of SAP implementation methodologies and tools; SAP Solution Manager, ASAP, IMG, Business Navigator is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to write detailed technical specifications
  • Ability to debug and find out the root cause for exceptions
  • Must be able to participate in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Ability to communicate in oral and written form effectively
  • Ability to effectively communicate functional and technical expertise to a variety of business and technical partners
  • Must have expertise in at least one of the following modules (Please indicate in resume'): HR - Concurrent employment, FI/CO – BTEs, PR - SRM, MM, FI, Workflow, XI - ABAP proxies, SOAP adapters, RFCs, IDOCs/ Develop inbound-outbound interfaces, integration scenarios, mapping objects, Message Interfaces, Message Types using XI Integration Builder E-Recruitment - BSPs, E-R workflows, TREX
